4th of July Weekend!

This year we spent the fourth with Greg's family in Midway. It sure was alot of fun...especially since we have a little one to spend it with.
We learned this weekend that Bracken loves to be outdoors and doesn't want to sleep when there's a party going on!!

Bracken sure loves his Daddy!!

Stadium of Fire!

Yes David Archuleta performed!

And my favorite country singer...Brad Paisley!

Dancers in the shape of the Liberty Bell.
The Stadium of Fire was an absolute blast! Thanks to my husband for giving me these tickets for Easter...it was perfect!!

Bracken is ready for his first 4th of July!

Going on a walk in the hot sun!

We hope you all had a fun and safe Independence Day. May we all remember those who are fighting for our country and truly appreciate the freedoms we enjoy!

Blessing Day

Bracken was blessed on June 5, 2011 in our ward in Draper. Greg did a great job on the blessing...very spiritual and a neat experience. We were fortunate to have a great turn out of family and friends share this special experience with us. Our Bishop said that's the biggest circle they've seen in this ward...16 men stood in and we didn't even ask everyone.
The blessing was beautiful and made me sit and ponder how blessed we are to have a little healthy baby boy. The Spirit was so strong in that sacrament meeting, I'll never forget that day.
Thanks to all helped make this day so special!
Getting ready for his big day!

He was a good sport while Nana and I got him ready!
Handsome as ever! The tux was a little big for him.
All dressed and ready!!!

After the blessing, Aunt Susan was kind enough to open up her home to us and all our family and friends came for a yummy dutch oven dinner made by Papa Boyd.
Here are some pictures after the blessing.

So precious!!!

A Miracle Performed!

One week ago today we experienced quite a miracle in our little family. Bracken Gregory Holm was born. I can't even begin to describe the feeling I felt when I held our little boy. Tears filled my eyes and joy filled my heart. The miracle of birth is truly a gift from God. Greg and I are so grateful for the birth of our son. There were some scary moments during the delivery but with faith, prayer and priesthood blessings we were able to deliver Bracken with minimal complications.

Labor began Thursday morning at 6 am and didn't end until Friday at 2:30 pm. Yes almost 33 hours! My sweet Mom stayed up with me through the night. We will never forget the Royal Wedding and what we were doing at the time.....fighting through each contraction!

Here are some pictures of our journey!

2 weeks to go!!!

Well I know I haven't posted in a very long time but I'm convinced nobody looks at our blog so I don't really have a big desire to keep up on it. I know my Mom and sister look at it so if anyone, I'll do it for them :)

We're just two weeks away from the due date and many emotions are filling our home. Fear, nervousness and excitement. We don't really know how to prepare since this is all new to us; we're just glad we have each other!
36 weeks pregnant.

While we were in Rupert last weekend, Cindy Singleton was so kind to take some maternity pictures. Here is a glimpse of the great work she did!!!

My Mom came up for a few days and helped me get the baby room ready. I made a rag quilt and matching crib bumper so we themed the room around those fabrics and colors. We had alot of fun decorating it!

Here is the finished crib bumper..

24 weeks!

Well the pregnancy is going great. We had another ultrasound done from a friend of ours and she said everything is looking perfect; that was comforting to hear! During the ultrasound my family was able to come and see the little one. While we were there we got to see alot of fun things! The baby was opening and closing his mouth, giving us a thumbs up and stretching,  to name a few. We're very blessed to have a healthy baby boy on the way! My new project is sewing a baby crib set for him so we'll see how it goes! We are moving some things around in our guest bedroom so we will have room for a crib, changing table, and rocking chair. Alot of big changes are coming our way! We're nervous, scared and super excited all at the same time!

It's a BOY!!!!

We had our ultrasound on Monday and you got it...we'll be having a little stud in April! This baby has one VERY HAPPY Dad! The ultrasound went really well. As far as we could see....everything looked healthy! He loves to move around in the belly but I love the feeling, so exciting!

This is how we told our family and friends what it was!....

20 weeks along and growing!
