It's a BOY!!!!

We had our ultrasound on Monday and you got it...we'll be having a little stud in April! This baby has one VERY HAPPY Dad! The ultrasound went really well. As far as we could see....everything looked healthy! He loves to move around in the belly but I love the feeling, so exciting!

This is how we told our family and friends what it was!....

20 weeks along and growing!

Student Teaching

(Lots of Pictures!)
Well student teaching is officially over and wow was it alot of work!! I completed my student teaching at South Jordan Middle School in South Jordan, Utah (School of approx. 1700 kids!). I taught Foods and Nutrition to 9th graders and FACS exploration to 8th graders. The kids tested my patience from time to time but overall they are really great kids. I had an amazing cooperating teacher who was very patient with me and taught me everything I know!
I had an amazing cooperating teacher who was very patient with me and taught me everything I know! Thanks Nicole!
This is the classroom that I taught in. It was actually a portable which is an outdoor classroom which was kind of nice because we were in our own little world out there.

This is the kitchen that we cooked in. My favorite part of both classes was lab days! It's like a comedy show everytime we cook. The questions they ask or the things they do when cooking...HILARIOUS!!

This is our sewing room. My FACS classes take sewing for part of their curriculum. We sew samples and pillowcases. Again, another comedy show!! I'll give them directions over and over and again but many of them STILL seem to sew their pillowcase wrong side out or sew their pillowcase opening. I love it tho!
This sewing room has super nice machines, tables, and sergers!
This is my 2nd period foods students. Yes there was only 9 students and 2 student aids. It made it a little ackward to teach especially when almost all of them never said a word!!
This is my 3rd period Foods students. This was probably my best Foods class. They all got right to work and would always comment.
This is my 4th period Foods students. This class was very good with the exception of a couple girls who thought they were too good for class and especially too good to do the work. I struggled with them but the others were great!!

This is my 5th period FACS (Family and Consumer Science) students. This is the class I started out with from the very beginning. As you can see..we became very close! They are a fun group of students.

This is my 6th period FACS students. This class was the TOUGHEST class!! I love everyone of these kids but every single boy in this class (with the exception of 2) is LOUD and wanted to be heard. I appreciate all their comments but I had to have some strong classroom management with this class!! Each student is so sweet!!
This is my 7th period FACS students. They each are so different but I like it because it brings variety into the classroom! We had a few Student Body Officers in this class so it was fun to talk with them and hear what their doing in Student Council.
We ended my time with them by having root beer floats and taking a quiz. The quiz was to see how well they knew me. There were 10 questions that tested their knowledge. I was surpised that few of them got 100%. Once we finished the quiz I passed out stars with Starburst on them that said, "You're a STAR". This is the white board after a few of the classes. I didn't get a picture of the other classes white board notes before someone erased it but they wrote some really sweet notes.

Student Teaching is definitely ALOT of work and even more tiring when you're pregnant but I'm SOO glad to be finished! I'll miss the great kids and seeing them do hilarious things in the kitchen and sewing lab.

16 weeks!

16 weeks along and counting! Had a doctor's appointment and heart the baby's heartbeat again. I can't tell you the feeling I feel when I hear that heartbeat. It's almost surreal. I love the feeling and can't wait to hold our little one! We find out in 3 weeks what the gender is. All I've heard is it's going to be a boy so we'll see!! Greg is super excited, especially when I hear him him say "goodnight little guy" to my tummy each night. If it's a girl...Greg better make up for it when she's with us!!! :)  It's been fun and we're getting super excited!!!

Baby's Heartbeat!!

Well today was my first doctor's appointment. It was great fun, let me tell ya!! The doctor said everything looks very well and the baby seems to be doing good as well. Greg and I got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time today. It is finally starting to feel real!! We're super excited!

Fall is Here!!

Nothing is more gorgeous than Fall!!! I love to see the many color of leaves falling from the trees. Now, living in Utah, it's fun to look out to the mountains and see the colors change day by day. We had a great week with family and friends. We went to the Gardner Village (I had never been before) and had alot of fun! The witches were a bit creepy but I must say they were pretty cool at the same time. We are getting ready for the holidays and spending time with family so close!
